Workshop on Female Body Image and Self Esteem
On June 11, 2011, Britt Lindeman and Lauren Gentile (Clinical Supervisors - Fredericksurg Office) conducted a workshop on Female Body Image and Self Esteem for adolescent females and their parent(s) at the Stafford County Government Center. The workshop was sponsored by the Stafford County Court Services Unit and part of an educational health summit for court involved youths.

NCG Front Royal's Office Coordinator Robin Banjoman entered NCG into a contest to win a WINC FM Lunch! NCG received many mentions on the air the week of March 14, 2011, leading up to the lunch event on March 18, 2011!

Northern Region Virginia Juvenile Justice Association Presents:
“From Victim to Survivor: Embracing the Rainbow of Emotions Following Trauma” and “Self-Esteem, Social Acceptance and the Female Adolescent”
On April 15, 2011, National Counseling Group will be participating in a Virginia Juvenile Justice Association Training about trauma and self-esteem. Patrick Slifka, Director of Training, and Natalie Salera, Clinical Supervisor from NCG Manassas, will be the speakers at this training.
The titles of the two topics presented are "From Victim to Survivor: Embracing the Rainbow of Emotion Following Trauma" and "Self-Esteem, Social Acceptance and the Female Adolescent". Participation and Sponsorship of NASW-VA
National Counseling Group will be participating in the National Association of Social Workers Pre-Conference Leadership Institute and 2011 Annual Conference this coming March. The conference will be at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa at Short Pump on March 10, 11, and 12, 2011. National Counseling Group has an a sponsor of the NASW-VA for many years, and will continue their support in the conference this year. NCG was featured in the 2011 Conference Brochure.
During this event, Nikole Jiggetts, Clinical Supervisor and Play Therapist from NCG Petersburg, will be part of the conference workshops. Nikole will be discussing "Innovative Healing Techniques and Treatment Planning for Children and Adolescents". Her workshop will take place on March 12, 2011 for approximately three hours.

At the 34th Fall Virginia Juvenile Justive Association Conference in November 2010, National Counseling Group was awarded the Community Service award. It was a great honor and a fun time!
