National
Counseling Groups First Annual Conference was a fabulous
success! We could not have asked for more emblematic demonstration
of the spirit of public-private partnerships than to come together
with Governor Tim Kaine, Delegates Dave Marsden and Steve Shannon
and each of our Community Service Award Recipients to focus on
helping children and families. The atmosphere was one of compassion,
creativity and possibilities inspired by the Governor’s
remarks, the genius of Dr. Eliana Gil and Dr. Stanton Samenow
and the recognition of Dr. Peter Robbins, James Fox and Larry
Robinson of the Newport News Detention Center, and Allison Rothschild
of Camp To Belong.
On behalf of everyone at National Counseling Group, we would like
to thank all those who attended and contributed to the success
of this conference.
Finally, we have already begun planning our 2nd Annual Conference
and invite your ideas for next year’s theme!
